after all the fame and new experience who could immagine returning to a life in the country. the Walsh family have a decision to make about returning home after Mr. walsh was offered a new position back home. the episode was enjoyable because you were able to see how the characters all developed from the first episode. the shallow self centered group of young people were transformed thasnks to the possitive influence of the Welch family. i could see some element from the cosby show in the episode, a story of a well rounded family. i liked how Andrea finally opened up to Brandon and she was ready to give him her virginity, the sexual tension in the episode was high between the two. i would say that this was my favorite episode out of all the other ones. For the first time since looking at the show i was not annoyed by any of the characters even Steve life was transformed because of his relationship with the welch family like all the others.

In this episode Steve once again showed how much of a jerk he is. Steve and Brandon volunteers to coach a little leage base ball game after Brandon fathers got sick. steve wea his usuall self as he allowed the team player to have the same nasty disrespectful attitude he has towards other teams. Brandon showed his charming side as he tried to remove such attitudes from his team members. Brandon was able to show case his leadership when he made his team members understand that the game was not only about winning. this lesseon was learned after Steve and Brandon team had to play against a teem coached by the owner of the peach pit, the members of his team were children that were in foster care and had little to be proud of. at the first game between the two teams the members of the pit were laughed at because of their costumes. they had no offical uniformed and were made to feel less than humans especally when they were not allowed to play with new equipment because Steve did not think they were worthy of the honor. the setting of this episode showed the real issues that the poor kids faced. Dylan is the opposite of Steve and when he was asked to coach the team from the peach pit he was happy to be a possitive influence in their lives. the issue in this episode is very realistic and it was important for the author to show the impact people can have through their actions

I really enjoyed the entire story. Brandon once again was able to be a hero by helping his school mate Roger that was haunted by his fathers success. Brandon realized that Roger was a troubled teen after reading a scrip he wrote. the script seem like a reality version of what was Roger’s life, Brandon was even more convince after seeing the anger of the script that talked about a son killing a father who’s success he could not match. Roger character was flashy and he had all the right gifts to give to gain friends but even with that he had low self esteme. this showed that everyone has issues and even though we will want to envy people for what they have we should be thankful for the little that we have been blessed with.i like this episode because if showed that sometime all people need is some friendly advise to help them stay out of trouble. Brandon did not give up on Roger eventhough he saw that he was a jerk but he was able to prevent Rogers sucide and bring him and his father together. in this episode Brenda and Kelly were also able to give advise to their brest friend Donna, who started to act out after recieving her SAT scores. the girls knew that Donna action was strange when she started smpking and hanging with the wrong crowd, insted of writing her off they were able to get her the help she needed. they were true friends to the end who did not let a little bad attitude prevent them from helping a friend.

this show once again touched on an important issue that affect so many teens girls. when in high school teens are usually consumed with relationships, fashion, exams, etc. they never hardly consider the fact of brest cancer they belive that they are too young to be affected. Brenda found out that she was not too young after discovering a lump in her brest. She and her Two Best friends Kelly and Donna did a self exam of their breast, her friends results were normal. the important thing about this episode is that teens watching this episode were exposed to the idea of self breast exam. i rember in the 90′s myself and a cousin taht was a year older than i was giving ourselves breast exam, i can’t remember look at the episode but my cousin was proberly influence by the show to do the exam. i know this episode had a major impact on its audience as it did on myself and cousin. the plot of the episode tied the issue of geting a brest exam well into the plot, the entire school was in frenzy over taking the SATs and Brenda had to focus on her breast exam.

Brandon is given a challenge by his good friend Andrea to run for school president. Brandon seem like a good candidate at the beginning but when he ignores the real issues and decides to play in to the fame of the game Andrea now sees him as a complete jerk and pulls back her endorsement. Kelly and Steve becomes his new campaign managers and Brenda once again is placed on the Back burner. This is a true testament of how a little power can corrupt even at the simplest of levels. Brenda decided that she just about had enough of Brandon and his fame game and decided to move out of her parents home, i can believe they allowed her to move out oh please how unrealistic i can’t think of any parents i know that would allow their child to move out. i guess it was for her own good in the end she learn that being an adult is a lot of responsibility and home was the best place for her to be. the lesson for Brandon in this episode was that politics was to be taken serious and sometime the better candidate is the under dog. Brandon giving the under dog candiate the opportunity to be president shows that the most important thing in the end is the students taht they represent.

David is one of the most annoying people in the show he is the freshman that is just trying to be in all the older crowds and don’t matter how much he they rejects him he always finds a way to be in, this is live some of the annoying people that i attended school with that could never seem to take the hint that they are not welcome. there is one think for sure about the students like David with out them school would never be much fun because they always do the craziest things. in an effort to get in with the in crowd David decide to invite Steve, Kelly, Donna, Brenda and Dylan to his grandparents Palms Spring house because he taught they were away. to their surprise they were not away and immediately the gang taught that their weekend was ruin, untill they saw that David had the coolest grand parents two people that were experience in luv and relationship issues that had so much to offer them. in the beginning David could not appreciate what his grand parents had to offer and he offended then. this was an episode i liked because again the authors were able to add a new dimension to the show it gives grand parents a role to be less nagging and more sharing of experience to keep the youths out of trouble.

Ep15

this episode was full of passion and emotion on the part of Brandon. The Walsh family allowed their main to use their address in order to get her niece enrolled at West Beverly high. the family all agreed and the deal was final. Brandon was struck by her beauty and he fell in love with her and became somewhat of a defender of the rights of the spanish population. He was offended when she was asked by her aunt to work for the party that his father was having for his clients. and boy oh boy was Brandon a total jerk. He seem to forget that the very clients that he stood to offend were the one responsible for his new like in Beverly hills. His actions were foolish because he did not even know the girl he had fallen for more than two days, he did not even take the time to consider the implication of his action on his family. the setting for this show was appropriate the clients were considering making advancement in mexico for the new product line and Brandon new girl friend Carla was spanish and she enlighten him to the reality of her people being exploited by people like his father’s clients. the setting of the show made a very explosive seen when Brandon confronted his father clients. in the end Carla returned to her old life and Brandon could have lost his new life because of stupidity. On the subject of this being realistic the parents did not punish Brandon and i am not sure what the true message of this episode was.

It was good to see Brandon get discover by a popular California show and become a star sensation over night. With all the fame came groupies falling all over him and even with this new life Brandon still kept his cool. Brenda showed how much of a hater she was in this episode; instead of showing support for her brother she was angry. I guess Brenda reaction was somewhat normal because was the one that always wanted a career in acting and Brandon had no interest in the art before being discovered. Brenda action in this episode was impressive and funny she decided to channel her hating way into a positive. Brenda was working at the peach pit as a replacement for Brandon while he was busy acting, at first Brenda had major problems but as she discovered that she can use her acting in her role as a waitress she was a major hit. All the customers loved her and the pit was always packed. Brenda personality was transformed when she put on her waitress costume she embodied her new character Lavern well. The setting of the peach pit with the old juke box and old fashion lay out made a statement of what the pit was. It was no five star restaurant but it was a place where the less fortunate could go and have fun. Brenda was very supportive of her brother after his acting careen ended as soon as it started. The lesson in this was to never throw your love ones under the bus when they are down and out but support should be given

Ep13

This episode was one of the funniest ones, I enjoyed looking at Steve and Brandon being played by the two girls they met at the club. How dumb can two guys be? This episode seems like a less realistic one, I truly can’t imagine people being as dumb as the two, but to really think about it they are just teens trying to impress older girls. It did not take much for the girls to convince egoistical Steve to allow them to drive his very expensive car with him and Brandon standing in the empty parking lot. Steve waiting for almost two hours hoping that the girls would return was foolish and Brandon had to break the news of them not returning to him. Seeing this jerk crying was worth ever second of viewing. To talk more about teen drama, when I heard Brenda was having a slumber party I knew no good could come from that, I practically right. Brenda, Kelly, Andrea, and Donna were all having clean fun until a guest of Kelly was added to the mix. After cringing at what was kiddie’s fun in her opinion she decided to add a little spice by daring the girls to play game that challenge their friendship. Even with all that the girls were able to held Kelly’s friend after discovering that she was a teen with a serious issue of drug abuse in a effort to loose weight. The girls realize that she was only being a bitch because that was the effects of the medication and they all forgive and embraced her.

Ep12

Brandon finds a senior girl that likes him and he in only in the 11th grade. Why does this seem so strange to me. well well the only reason the girl is so into Brandon is because he is the only one in the school that does not know she has a baby boy. the authors of the show is continuing to do what they have been doing in the other episodes, hitting on issues that affect young people. teen pregnancy was and continues to be a very serious issue among young people. i remember in the 1990s look at talk shows like Ricki Lake with girls as young as 13 talking about trying to get pregnant because the wanted someone to love. This episode was important in showing teens that having a baby requires much more that love. It is about sacrifice and lots of money involved in caring for a child. Brandon new girl friend Milessa is now thinking about her baby as a too soon decision. She had to sacrifice going to the school of her choice because she was no longer able to keep up her grades and her baby was now her number one priority. the reality of teen pregnancy was well portray because Milessa social life was about going out with her baby and not being able to enjoy the things taht other girls like Brenda and Kelly were enjoying. Brenda had no real responsibility like Milessa so she could afford to take risk like sky diving. i am not too much of a risk taker, so i would never go sky diving but when Kelly and Brenda took the jump I felt more alive it was like I was jumping with them. the author showed a comparison of two sets of girls one with major responsibilities that stoped her from enjoying her teen years and on the other hand two girls that were free to be teens. good show
